“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ And since this is true, we shouldn’t think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone. “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”

God Has a Great Plan Just for You!
We need to refrain from comparing ourselves to anyone else because God doesn’t want us to be frustrated and feel unworthy of the blessings He desires to give us.
Comparing our lives with other people’s lives is unfair, to them and to us. It’s unfair to them because if we become jealous of what they have, what they know, how they look, etc., we start to resent them. Then we can no longer appreciate them as the wonderful person God made them to be.
It’s unfair to us because it limits God’s plan for our lives. Comparison says to God, ‘I want to limit Your work in my life to this and nothing else. I just want to be like this other person.’
But God has an individual plan for each of us. His plan for you is greater than you could possibly imagine. Stop looking at His plans for others so you can walk in the plans He has for you and receive the blessings they bring.
Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, help me to examine my heart honestly and expose any jealousy, resentment or frustration in me that has developed from comparing myself to others. I want to be all that You want me to be and live the life You have for me.

The Tremendous Power in the Name of Jesus
So God raised him to the highest place. God made his name greater than every other name
so that every knee will bow to the name of Jesus— everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth.
And everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and bring glory to God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 NCV)Many people, including Christians, don’t have a clue about the tremendous power in the name of Jesus.
Have you ever thought about the importance of a name? A person’s name represents and personifies his character, setting him apart from everyone else. When we call someone by name, we are declaring something about that person.
In the same way, when we say the name of Jesus, we are not just speaking a name. We are declaring a name that embodies power, not human power, but all the power and authority of God (see Colossians 2:9-10 AMP).
When we speak that name, we are describing the Person. Jesus means “Savior,” and we are calling Him according to what He does for us, He saves us from sin, from our failures and from circumstances that are not in His will (see Matthew 1:21).
Many people want to experience spiritual power but they don’t understand that in order to release it, they must speak the name of Jesus in faith. That wonderful name has been given to those who believe. As a child of God, speak His name in faith today.
Prayer Starter: Father God, over every circumstance in my life, I declare the name of Jesus in faith. Thank You for the saving power of Your Son.

The Trademark of a True Christian
Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! (Romans 12:16 NLT)
One of the most important facets of love is unselfishness, which is characterized in Romans 12:16 as the willingness to adapt and adjust to the needs and desires of others.
People who have grasped the meaning of this Scripture and applied it in their lives have learned what it means to be reduced to love. They are not selfish. They have learned to be adaptable and to adjust to others.
On the other hand, people who think more highly of themselves than they should find it difficult to adjust to others. Their inflated opinion of themselves causes them to see others as “little” and “unimportant.” They selfishly expect others to adjust to them, but they are often unable to accommodate others without becoming angry or upset.
Which type of person are you? I used to be so selfish, but now, I can tell you from experience that living unselfishly is a much more satisfying way to live.
The trademark of a true Christian is the ability to adapt to others. Will you unselfishly adapt to someone else today?
Prayer Starter: God, show me daily how to lovingly adapt to others. I don’t want to be a selfish person, so I choose to be unselfish and adaptable, loving others as a true Christian.
-Thanks Joyce

What is a comfortable Christian?
What is a people-pleasing Christian?
Not a Christian at all.
Not a follower of Christ that is.
Followers look to no one but their leader.
Their minds are focused & determined to please Him.
They’re making moves, fulfilling The Great Commission; there’s no room for the sometimesy, fickle, ‘I don’t feel like it right now’ “Christians”.
Only the real will last.
Everyone else is too self-centered to continue.
This follower of Christ’s responsibility and purpose is to live up to God’s standard. They’re so focused on Him they overlook the reactions of disapproval given to them by others.
A real Christian is a rebel with a purpose.
With a passion burning deep within their hearts to obey their Savior.

Bravery in Christ
John 16:33 says “I (Jesus) told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.” NCV
Wow. Okay, the word brave stuck out to me. God says we have to be brave!! That means this world is going to throw some serious blows at us believers/disciples of Christ.
This made me want to look at the definition of the word brave, because I’m thinking if your going to be brave for a cause you must have FAITH in it.
So Merriam-Webster’s synonyms for brave are: bold, courageous, gallant, valiant, lionhearted, gutsy, intrepid & fearless.
The antonyms are: fearful, cowardly, spineless, chickenhearted & SPIRITLESS.
Wow. So if I’m fearful I’m spiritless? Not to say the Holy Spirit has left us when we choose to be afraid. Instead, the Holy Spirit (who lives inside us believers) has not reached His full potential or strength or has not become fully active in us because we have not completely depended on Him. When we fully trust the Holy Spirit we will hear Him more often & more clearly. Then, obeying His commands will become second natured. Thus, we will truly be brave because we are obediently interacting with a form of God’s love & God’s perfect love casts out all fears. ;)peace&LOVE.

Removing Distractions
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)
One of Satan’s more cunning weapons is distraction. He knows if we become sidetracked by the cares of the world that, more than likely, we will begin to neglect our time with God.To keep us faithful and in close fellowship and communion with Him, sometimes God wants us to remove distractions that are separating us from Him, even if it hurts.
For example, if our career or desire for money or social status are more important to us than pleasing God, we need to get our priorities straight. Or maybe a relationship is keeping you from spending time with God and you’re looking for that person’s attention and approval more than God’s. The bottom line is, any situation or desire in our life that keeps us from being led by the Holy Spirit or living for God is an unhealthy distraction that’s not good for us.
God wants us to be moved by His Spirit, not by distractions. So today, set aside all of the distractions of life and purposely focus on God. When you seek God first with your whole heart, you will find Him. He’s always there waiting for you.
Prayer Starter: Lord, I ask You to help me remove all of the distractions in my life, even if it hurts. Help me to seek You above all else and be led by the Holy Spirit in my daily life. I want to live for You!

Being an Imitator of God
Being a Christian isn’t about making a weekly trip to church. We need to develop the character of God so others can actually see Jesus working in a practical way.
Ephesians 5:1 says that we are to be imitators of God. Unfortunately, saying it is a lot easier than actually doing it.
So many times we do things that don’t reflect God at all. It’s easy to get discouraged, give up on and condemn ourselves when we fall short.Thankfully, God isn’t bothered that we haven’t arrived yet. He knows we’re only human. He knows that we’re not going to instantly, perfectly mirror Him overnight, but He does want us to continue growing.
We’re not meant to live stagnant lives, never moving forward in our faith. Where’s the adventure in that? We need to be able to look back on our life and see some changes taking place.
I used to be a Pharisee. I think I could have been the chief of Pharisees. I had a real religious act going on, but I wasn’t really doing anything to truly “imitate” God. At some point, God led me to ask myself: “What am I doing to be more like God? Am I actually helping anybody? Am I just in this thing so God will make my life better?”
When we’re in a place of questioning, that’s the best place to be. It’s a place of constantly striving toward being more like Christ.
As you’re striving, don’t fall into the trap of perfectionism and self-condemnation. We all make mistakes but the important thing is to be willing to take steps every day toward being more like God.
Prayer Starter: God, I thank You that even though You see my mistakes, You still love me and help me live a godly life. While I refuse to be discouraged by my failures, I also refuse to stay the same. I choose to follow You and imitate You more and more each day.

Daily Redeemed
I was created by God but I ain’t wanna be like Him,
I wanna be Him
The Jack Sparrow of my Caribbean
I remember the first created being,
And how he shifted the blame on his dame
For fruit he shouldn’t have eaten,
And now look at us all out of Eden,
Wearing designer fig leaves by Louis Vuitton
Make-believing
But God sees through my foolish pride,
And how I’m weak like Adam, another victim of Lucifer’s lies
But then in steps Jesus,
All men were created to lead but we needed somebody to lead us
More than a teacher,
But somebody to buy us back from the darkness,
You can say He redeemed us…“Just Like You”
